Groups for Kids
All programs are offered at Kids First Center, 222 St. John St., Suite 104 in Portland, ME unless otherwise indicated.
Separation & Divorce Support Groups for Children and Adolescents
Our children's support groups provide a safe place for kids to explore their feelings and learn coping mechanisms with kids who are in a situation similar to their own. There are groups for children in grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Each group participates in activities that are appropriate for their age. Sessions are scheduled one afternoon each week for six weeks, with one exception: Group IV for adolescents in grades 10-12 runs for four weeks and provides participants with the background for co-facilitating groups for younger children if they wish to do so.
Children and adolescents may also benefit from going to our Kids Corner. |
